About the Role
The Mobile Installer serves as a critical technical ambassador for Bestop, ensuring the successful installation and optimal performance of our products across the country. You will travel frequently and independently to customer sites, dealerships, and industry events to provide hands-on product installations, lead formal training sessions for dealer technicians, and act as a crucial liaison for resolving complex technical issues. This role requires exceptional communication to clearly explain technical concepts and the discipline to provide vital feedback to our Engineering and Product teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical face of the company domestically, working with internal departments, production facilities, and the nationwide installer network.
Travel independently to customer sites and facilities as the company’s representative, providing on-site installation support and acting as liaison for technical issues.
Travel to company headquarters in USA/Mexico, production plants, engineering facilities, consumer locations, and dealer events for installations, demonstrations, and training.
Provide feedback to Engineering and Product teams to drive improvements in product design, installation processes, and overall performance.
Train Customer Service team members and support technical knowledge sharing across departments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with installers, ensuring adherence to company standards and customer satisfaction.
Support evolving business needs through additional duties and goals as defined.
Qualifications:
Proven hands-on technical skills, ideally in automotive installation, assembly, or mechanical systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for on-site installation challenges.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and conduct training.
Ability to travel independently up to 50%–75% of the time, including overnight and multi-day trips as required.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective working independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Experience:
Automotive aftermarket installation or related mechanical/technical experience.
Background in customer-facing technical support, training, or field service.
