As our Quality Engineer, you'll implement quality control measures, analyzing data to make informed decisions, investigating product issues and customer concerns, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a hands-on, dynamic environment. What You Will Do:
Develop and maintain a QMS that meets industry standards, certifications, and QA1 expectations.
Lead cross-functional investigations into product nonconformance, including on-site production and supplier discussions for disposition decisions.
Use critical thinking to analyze quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements.
Oversee supplier quality initiatives including facilitating issue notification, develop improvement actions, and follow up for effective outcomes.
Create acceptance test methods for materials/products to ensure specification and functional conformance.
Investigate customer-reported issues, log findings, and analyze trends.
Develop and maintain product quality plans to secure critical quality attributes and performance standards.
Assist in validating new/changed products and processes per defined quality criteria.
Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and implement data-driven process improvements.
Provide training and guidance on quality standards, inspection processes, and tools.
Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.

The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in similar manufacturing role
Occasional travel to suppliers and QA1 headquarters in Minnesota
Preferred: Experience in the automotive industry and knowledge of suspension products
Infrequent domestic travel; initial onboarding will take place in Minnesota at QA1’s headquarters
Hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving and quality improvement.
Experience with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and maintaining quality management systems
Positive, collaborative approach to challenges
Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening) and ability to build rapport across teams
Self-directed with strong execution, prioritization, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools (i.e. PowerBI)
Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and align with QA1’s values
