Automotive Parts Associates is searching for an individual to join our team as Program Manager. Located in Collierville, TN., this position is full-time and requires the individual to be local and able to work in the office 4 days a week. Serious inquiries only. Email resume to hq@apa.parts.
The Program Manager oversees the successful management of APA’s portfolio of suppliers, focusing on strategy, project management, and request for proposals (RFP) as set by the Product Director. The ideal candidate will be comfortable negotiating with suppliers, building a business plan, and presenting to key stakeholders. They will have strong communication skills that enable them to effectively communicate with all relevant teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare and hold quarterly business reviews with suppliers
Manage request for proposals (RFP) with suppliers
Supplier Negotiations
Report to shareholders the results of RFP and build a business strategy based on their feedback
Prepare documents for supplier programs
Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time with minimal supervision
Research and create presentations
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Reply to email, telephone, or face to face inquiries
Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
Travel, as required, approximately 25%, weekends may be involved
Maintain supplier contact lists
Perform other duties as requested
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
3+ years of experience in the automotive field of sourcing, category management, and/or product management.
Successfully completed multiple RFP’s & can discuss results
