The Sales Account Manager will be an experienced professional with a proven track record in the automotive aftermarket industry, specifically in selling premium branded products. This role involves identifying new business opportunities within the performance suspension categories and developing and cultivating long-term relationships to drive sustainable and incremental revenue growth. The ideal candidate will excel in both new customer acquisition and the management of existing accounts, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through a proactive, technically proficient approach.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leverage in-depth knowledge of company products and the automotive aftermarket to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
Develop and manage an omni-channel sales pipeline by prospecting customers from industry contacts, inactive accounts, and existing databases.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed effectively.
Manage key accounts to grow revenue by presenting new options, product lines, and cross-selling opportunities tailored to each customer’s unique needs.
Establish and manage a diverse book of business while continuing to hunt for new opportunities.
Create account plans and roadmaps to enhance existing business and seek new growth.
Collaborate with customers to optimize their business performance in areas like time to market, service levels, and customer satisfaction, driving the account's strategic vision and planning, including revenue growth.
Deliver exceptional technical support by providing product information, making recommendations, and troubleshooting problems via phone, email, and digital channels.
Implement automated CRM alerts and notifications to prompt timely follow-up actions and prevent leads from falling through the cracks.
Achieve and exceed sales and profitability goals through effective sales pipeline development, understanding sales metrics, and other assigned sales functions and processes.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales support, technical support, marketing, and operations, to provide the best possible service and solutions to customers.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Proven experience in the automotive aftermarket industry, with a strong technical knowledge and aptitude for suspension products.
Exceptional customer service and sales skills, with proficiency in the complete sales process and CRM software.
Passion for off-road and automotive customization, with an independent and proactive work style.
Experience in prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts, with a strong ability to influence and develop relationships with key decision-makers.
