We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to our Sensata Aftermarket team focusing on Vehicle Management Solutions (VMS). You will be contributing to its success in a rapidly growing market by continuing to drive the business development within an established geographic territory (USMCA - USA, Mexico, Canada, and select other regions). You will be key to the development of what is already a robust OE engine management/exhaust product portfolio to drive sales, manage accounts, and be integral to the strategic channel growth in the automotive, heavy duty, motorsports, and marine industries. You will also be responsible for developing Mexico/Latin American region(s) and so a good level of Spanish speaking proficiency is required.
This position reports to the Global Head of Sales for the Vehicle Management Solutions Aftermarket division. The location for this position is remote in the United States within proximity to a major airport.
Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Developing sales in the designated market by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective customers headquartered in the region by cold calling, networking, lead generation, industry related event participation, proposal submission, and customer meetings.
Driving sales of new products utilizing value-based/solution selling in targeted distribution channel: co-manufacturers, co-packers/repackers, and exporters). Identifying channel-based opportunities within multiple aftermarket industries: Automotive, Heavy Duty, Motorsports, and Marine.
Developing and cultivating productive long-term relationships with customers and identifying key contacts e.g. senior management, purchasing, engineering, product management, sales, and decision-makers.
Partnering with customers, building sustainable relationships and using customer insights and decision criteria to drive solutions to address current and future needs.
Developing in-depth knowledge of customer preferences, needs and anticipated needs/trends to develop and implement commercial strategy.
Managing customer activities with regards to commercial account activities.
Providing business analysis including data trends, competitive intelligence, customer retention, sales funnel success and addressable/attainable market.
Providing monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and territory budgeting.
Maintaining appropriate database (Salesforce) with sales/account activity and new business opportunities.
Applying knowledge of business climate, market dynamics and trends as well as market potential to develop/implement account plans that get results.
Negotiating agreement terms and conditions in accordance with Sensata’s guidelines and contract objectives.
Participating in meetings and presentations as required in support of customer programs and department business planning.
Providing customer feedback to management, product development, customer service, marketing, and operations. Using the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to help improve our current product offering and programs.
Utilizing total program management and strategic planning processes to achieve the region’s net revenue goals.

Bachelor of Business Administration or similar degree is a plus.
Minimum 3 years sales experience including Automotive aftermarket experience.
Demonstrated high sales performance is essential.
Exceptional organizational skills are required.
Experience in establishing a territory is key
Must be results oriented.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Needs to be a self-starter.
Proficient in value based and relationship selling.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish proficiency is a must)
Willingness to travel – can be up to 70% depending on demands (Including international travel Mexico, Canada, and select other regions as the business evolves).
Computer Skills – proficient in MS Office. Salesforce experience is a plus.
