Drake Automotive Group began life as Scott Drake Enterprises, a company specializing in classic Mustang restoration parts. In 2005, Drake broke into the late-model Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger scene by introducing Drake Muscle Cars, which was followed shortly thereafter by the introduction of Drake Off-Road, a brand catering to the Jeep, FJ Cruiser, and Bronco aftermarket. The Drake brand had grown from a humble start-up to an international company with over 10,000 products for a wide range of vehicles, making it one of the world’s largest manufacturers of automotive aftermarket and restoration parts.
In 2015, Drake Automotive Group was acquired by Huron Capital, a private equity firm, and Drake began its mission of growth by adding its first acquisition, Fender Gripper fender mats. By the end of 2017, vehicle graphics company, OG Innovations, and Carroll Shelby Wheel Company were brought into the Drake family as well. Seeking to further build its presence in the off-road segment, Drake acquired well-known and established brands DV8 Off-Road/Rev Wheels and Addictive Desert Designs alongside suspension specialists Proforged in 2018.
Drake Automotive Group has an established reputation for excellence in design and manufacturing within the classic and restoration market, and with its ongoing growth seeks to further that reputation in all facets of the automotive aftermarket industry.
