Summary: VP, Sales is responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing new business growth strategy. This role requires both individual contribution through brokering leads and uncovering opportunities and team management by setting targets, process and objectives for the sales team.
Establish strategy to achieve all company sales goals and exceed targets in annual operating plan. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop an annual operating plan.
Manage key customer relationships including identifying and working opportunities, setting and exceeding expectations and developing relationships.
Deliver strong performance against required sales/revenue targets.
Cultivate an environment that promotes success and ongoing achievement in both business and goals to ultimately build a team of that is recognized as professional high performers and positioning the company as an employer of choice.
Seek out additional sales channels and sectors to allow greater reach and penetration of the product array.
Actively drive sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes. Manage team pipeline through CRM and other systems that support sales functions. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
Consistently exhibit critical leadership characteristic including clear and timely communications, fair and firm treatment of all team members and developing transparent and honest relationships throughout the business
Owns the leadership aspect of the role with the focus on succession planning and development, employee skills assessment to ensure the right people with the right skills are in the right jobs.
Demonstrate passion for employee development and growth by actively coaching and facilitating desired behaviors such as teamwork, accountability, ethics and standards, and communication.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and marketing or related field required; MBA preferred.
10 plus years in a field sales environment with extensive travel, regional management experience, and diverse customer selling base.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex business tradeoffs and develop prioritizations among numerous competing objectives.
Ability to work well across the organization and constructively influence team objectives and outcomes.
