Bothell's Fleet Maintenance is expanding, adding two mechanics and assuming maintenance responsibility for the City's Fire Apparatus. We are seeking a dynamic individual looking to help lead the transformation. As our Lead Equipment Mechanic, you will assist the Fleet and Facilities Manager in developing and managing the annual preventive maintenance repair programs for the City's fleet and equipment to achieve maximum cost, functional and operational efficiency. You will also assist with hiring and training, as well as review the work of the fleet crew to ensure compliance of established work requirements, regulations, quality and efficiency.
Our ideal candidate will perform diagnosis and skilled maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on City vehicles, equipment, and machinery in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
Our ideal candidate will bring them:
A valid Driver's License.
A Commercial Driver's License (with air brake endorsement) is required within one year of appointment.
Valid ASE and Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification with Master Fire Apparatus Technician level certification is preferred.
