Supervise up to 3-5 employees in the Shipping/Receiving, and Warehouse functions.
Control and monitor shipping office administrative functions.
Assist with planning, preparing, and administering departmental budgets.
Serve as liaison with order management regarding scheduling, shippers, inventories, traffic, and other functions as required.
Handle employee relation issues including, but not limited to training, discipline, vacations, rosters, and overtime.
Recommends packaging solutions, warehousing and equipment changes as needed.
Develop, implement, and maintain department policies and procedures to enhance customer service.
Plan and review day-to-day shipping/warehouse operations to meet established shipping schedules effectively and economically within acceptable quality standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree or equivalent experience required - CPIM certification preferred.
Valid CDL with clean driving record required.
Minimum five years’ supervisorial experience in a related field (ie. shipping, receiving, purchasing, supply chain management)
Knowledge of UPS World Ship, FedEx, and USPS software packages.
Forklift trained/certified - Helpful
Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.
Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability.
