The Production Scheduler-Purchasing entity plans, directs and coordinates the activities of production planning and scheduling as well as purchasing materials, products and services from authorized venders for Egge Machine Company.
The Production Scheduler-Purchaser will ensure best price and terms acquisition of parts and materials by negotiating best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.
Develop and implement production planning and scheduling activities to facilitate the needs of manufacturing and/or the customers of Egge Machine Company.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
Locate vendors for needed materials, equipment and supplies, then determine product availability and sales terms.
Represent Egge in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
Review daily and monthly reports to establish forecasting.
Special projects as required
Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum five (5) years’ scheduling and/or purchaser experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability.
