Support NA Sales as a key point of contact for sales calls with external customers as needed.
Support the global Steering and Suspension product strategy, whilst managing the complete product lifecycle, developing the portfolio and coordinating the activities and priorities of the cross functional teams (Purchasing, Engineering, SQE, SC&L)
Strategy – Support the development and implementation of a long term global product strategy developed by the Global Product Line Director in line with market requirements that creates cross regional synergies.
Management of the complete product lifecycle:
- New Product Opportunities – Identify new product opportunities and timescales based on OE launches, market feedback or supplier ranges.
- NTR – deliver NTR requirements of the regions in line with the global product strategy, at the required quality (defined for Engineering) and cost (defined for Purchasing) to allow the sales team to sell competitively in the market whilst protecting the profitability of DPSS, liaising with suppliers as appropriate.
- MCIP – Identify MCIP opportunities based on lifecycle position and feedback from Category Management teams, and ensure cost targets and product specifications are received and understood by the purchasing team.
- End Of Life – Recognize products at end of life and manage the elimination of obsolete stock and the closure of parts.
Cross Functional Coordination/Project Management – Coordinate the cross functional team ensuring processes are followed efficiently, deliverables are aligned and the team is focused on the same PBP objectives, in line with the global product strategy.
Sales/Category support – be the product expert able to support the sales or category teams as required with customer visits to support the generation of new business opportunities to directly impact revenue and growth.

Product Management experience – Proven experience in a product management role, managing complete product lifecycle, preferably in the Automotive industry/Steering and Suspension products.
Collaboration – Ability to lead multi-functional teams to work in a matrix organization
Project & Change Management – Demonstrable ability to develop & facilitate projects, within given parameters.
Financial & Business Acumen – Understanding of business & financial drivers & metrics to produce agreed upon results
4P Solutions – Awareness and understanding of the 4 Ps to support global product decisions
Marketplace Acumen – Ability to leverage understanding of channels & customers in the marketplace to build innovative product solutions.
Bachelors' in Business or Marketing Degree
4+ years' experience Product Management and or related fields
