The Segment Product Specialist is responsible for supporting the Segment Product Managers in initiatives of product planning throughout the product lifecycle, driving the revenues in-line with growth expectations for the product segment. Continuously manage data in databases used for cataloging and part number support. Work closely with product management, sales and marketing teams to ensure they have adequate support to make informed decisions required to meet the company goals for revenue and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cataloging part numbers into ACES, PIES, & OE Interchange catalog data
Catalog our global catalog part numbers using Motor & DMS (Bilstein Europe) data into ACES compliant files in Excel and JNPSoft for the US market.
Create OE interchanges and UIO for part numbers from data and eliminate any conflicts
Research and error check data and continually improve customer delivered catalog data
Use SAP and engineering drawings to catalog product technical specs in JNPSoft
Monitor part numbers in segments are achieving market potential
Using VIO/UIO and sales market data ensure part numbers are:
Catalogued for optimal customer lookup
Priced correctly in the market
Availability/stock are maintained to support demand
To support product segment management team through detailed quantitative segment studies
Research segment data at detailed part number and customer level to create in-depth data studies at granular level to support macro segment changes.
Combine data into Excel from SAP, JNPSoft, DMS, online websites, and other sources
Use VIO (Vehicles in Operation) data to find sales share of vehicles and segment
Pricing research using SAP of channel sales and part number profitability
Research unique market segments in detail to find market potential for new product development and products from other countries/business segments
Provide in-depth data and research for sales on technical details of segment products
Work with product management team in Germany, product development, and engineering to solve difficult fitment and catalog issues
Find applications without coverage in segments and find business case for their development
• 1 - 2 years of automotive industry experience. with good technical understanding. • Ability to function in a fast-paced team oriented environment; apply critical thinking principles and remain flexible. • Attention to details and accuracy with strong organizational skills • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Be an advanced MS Excel user capable of doing vlookups, pivot tables, and math functions We offer a competitive salary and benefit package, including 401(k).
