Light Duty – Autos, Heavy Duty, Performance Vehicles
The Automotive Technical Trainer will deliver manufacturer technical training.
Plan, organize, and deliver technical instruction to retailers and shop technicians to enhance their learning and proficiency in the service, diagnostics, and repair of company products (various automotive parts)
Prepare and delivery quality training through effective instructor preparation and classroom preparation.
Review the latest Technical Bulletins and Special Service Messages to remain proficient and knowledgeable on product technical matters
Review and rehearse lesson plans and presentations
Participate in Train-the-Trainer sessions to expand and enhance training delivery capability and capacity.
Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations
Answer technical assistance phone line calls in an effort to stay abreast of current issues
Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Adjust as necessary: Sitting 70%, standing/walking 30%. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.

On-the-job Training Required:
Associate's degree preferred
Excellent presentation skills

Proven automotive service technician skills
Strong technical and analytical skills
Ability to prepare, reproduce, and deliver training materials
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to prepare internal reports
Ability to work with consultants and sub-contractors
Must be able to travel up to 60%
5 years' related experience
Technical experience in an automotive service environment
Strong automotive technical and analytical skills - required
Solid automotive electrical theory and diagnostics skills - required
Strong communication skills - required
ASE Certification A4, A5, A6 - desired
